MOB Makeover

In honor of Mother's Day this past weekend, we would like to give a new spin on the "Mother of the Bride" dress. When "Mother of the Bride" is said, what comes to mind? Are we thinking of the same two piece dress suit in a multitude of colors? Well we are here to keep your lovely mother from falling into that dreaded category. After all, she's your mother, not the Queen of England.




We have found three dresses that are sure to look fabulous on your MOB. This first one by Monique Lhuillier features a natural waist cinched in by a bow. We love the natural cream color that will blend in with any wedding color palette, making for perfect wedding party photos. Hitting below the knee, this dress is both beautiful and age appropriate.











For a more formal event, this second dress by Priscilla of Boston is a wonderful choice. Again, going with a neutral color will mix with many wedding party colors, making your mom picture perfect. We love the natural waist and the simple gathering around the neckline, which will bring eyes up to the face.










Our last choice is a bright orange dress by Anna Elyse. For a mom that wants to add some spring color to her dress for the big day, this is the one for her. We love this dress not only because it can be ordered in over fifty colors (yes, we said fifty), but because of the cap sleeve. Many MOBs don't feel comfortable without their shoulders being covered.
